76th Anniversary of Operation Veritable
Chief Warrant Officer Joel Pedersen participated in the virtual remembrance ceremony of the 76th anniversary of Operation Veritable on broadcast on Dutch television (Omroep Berg en Dal) on 8 February, 2021. The ceremony recognized the contribution of Indigenous soldiers during the Second World War, and Joel Pedersen spoke as only one of two First Nations CWOs in Canada. Joel was a technical consultant for The Hawk and the Hare.
